Fiverr's own account of the fiscal machinery, in its own words. The page states that Fiverr verifies the withholding tax status of freelancers based in Israel 'to support compliance with Israeli tax law', and that 30% is 'the maximum default rate set by the Israeli Tax Authority' applied where a seller does not supply a valid Withholding Tax Certificate. Sellers must upload a Certificate of Proper Bookkeeping and a Withholding Tax Certificate, together with name, address and tax ID, to have a lower rate applied. A companion section records that Fiverr charges 18% VAT on goods and services purchased by Israeli clients, and that a client holding a valid Israeli VAT ID may submit Fiverr's invoice to the Israeli tax authorities for refund.

The contract every buyer and seller accepts. The counterparty is Fiverr International Ltd. of 8 Eliezer Kaplan Street, Tel Aviv 6473409, Israel. The terms designate Israeli law as the governing law and the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa as the exclusive forum for disputes, whatever the user's own country. A freelancer in Lagos, a designer in Manila and a purchasing officer in Manchester all contract on those terms.

Market value of about $332.5 million on 6 August 2026, a fall of 58.4% over twelve months. Shares at $9.64 on 4 August 2026, against a 52-week high of $28.00 and a 52-week low of $8.75.

Revenue of $97.8 million, down 10% year on year, with marketplace revenue down 15.5% to $63.1 million. Annual active buyers of 2.7 million at 30 June 2026 against 3.4 million a year earlier, a fall of 21.9%; annual spend per buyer up 15.6% to $368; marketplace take rate 28.0%. Net income $4.5 million. Full-year 2026 guidance cut to $356-372 million, a decline of 14-17%, and third-quarter guidance to $80-88 million. Micha Kaufman attributes the shift to 'a market that is changing faster than expected, driven by rapid AI adoption'. The release's own risk language lists 'political, economic and military instability in Israel' among the factors that could affect results.

Records that thousands of Palestinians worked through platforms including Upwork and Fiverr in programming, design, translation and digital marketing before October 2023, and that Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza 'remain excluded from PayPal, despite years of advocacy and despite the platform operating freely for Israeli citizens, including settlers living illegally in West Bank settlements'. Exclusion 'forces Palestinian freelancers and businesses to rely on costly intermediaries, informal transfer systems, or unstable alternatives that consume significant portions of their income.'

What Palestinians have built where the platforms fail them. Salsabil Bardawi founded Gaza Talents after her husband and daughter were killed in 2024, connecting freelancers in Gaza to international clients; working with the Bank of Palestine and the PalPay digital wallet, it has channelled more than $600,000 in income to Gaza workers. Sharif Naim, a software engineer, founded Taqat Gaza, a solar-powered co-working space serving more than 500 freelancers. Reem Alkhateeb, a graphic designer, became her family's earner after her husband lost his job; Tarik Zaeem, a programmer, debugs a Saudi client's app while his family shelters in Egypt. Two of Gaza Sky Geeks' three sites were destroyed. The article records that PayPal is 'unavailable to people with Palestinian addresses' and that freelancers pay cash brokers steep fees to receive electronic transfers.

The central document for this profile, and the only source that has tested Fiverr from Palestine. 7amleh, The Arab Centre for the Advancement of Social Media, the Palestinian digital rights organisation, commissioned Dr Mohammed Alshurafa to test around thirty payment, e-commerce and online work platforms from Gaza, the West Bank and Israel, creating and verifying accounts on local connections and devices, alongside ten interviews with Palestinian freelancers and two senior officials of the Palestinian Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy. Its platform table rates Fiverr 'Access: Yes; Payout: Difficult' for Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank and 'Full access' for Israeli citizens, noting: 'An Israeli-founded platform is open globally. Palestinians can create profiles but face the same payout constraints, often routing via Payoneer or intermediaries.' The report records that 'In Gaza, where banking restrictions are tighter, freelancers frequently must receive their Upwork or Fiverr earnings through third-party services or via friends' accounts abroad, incurring high fees', and that 'Even where Palestinians can access platforms such as Upwork or Fiverr, neither the state nor individuals can guarantee secure payments, account continuity, or protection against arbitrary platform decisions.' Its screenshots show that PayPal, Stripe, Skrill and Payoneer do not accept Palestinian sign-ups (Payoneer returning 'Signup from Palestinian territories is currently not supported') while PayPal serves Israeli citizens including settlers in the West Bank. It cites a UN estimate that at least 12,000 workers in Gaza have used online freelance work as an income source. Its first recommendation is that platform operations in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory 'should be independently audited to identify and eliminate practices that systematically privilege Israeli users over Palestinians'.

7amleh's own summary of the report above, giving the methodology and the three headline asks: an end to discriminatory service policies by global tech companies, expanded Palestinian access to digital payment services, and removal of restrictions on Palestinian ICT infrastructure.

Fiverr International Ltd. filed its annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended 31 December 2025 with the SEC on 12 March 2026, giving its registered address as 8 Eliezer Kaplan St, Tel-Aviv 6473409, Israel. Foreign private issuers file the 20-F rather than the 10-K; the filing is the primary source for the company's Israeli tax position, and the place to check whether Fiverr claims Preferred Technological Enterprise status.

Full-year 2025 revenue of $430.9 million, up 10.1%, with adjusted EBITDA of $92 million at a 21.3% margin. Fourth-quarter revenue $107.2 million against $103.7 million a year earlier. Annual active buyers 3.1 million at 31 December 2025, against 3.6 million a year earlier, a fall of 13.6%. The buyer base was already contracting before the sharper decline reported in July 2026.

The source for the current headcount position. Fiverr had 762 employees at the end of 2024, of whom 637 were in Israel. On 16 September 2025 it announced the loss of about 250 roles, roughly 30% of the workforce, with most of the affected staff based in Israel. Micha Kaufman told employees that 'Change requires a painful reset' and that the company would rebuild as 'a modern AI-centric infrastructure'. Supersedes the 545-employee, 78% figure Fiverr gave in October 2023.

Fiverr completed the acquisition of AutoDS, founded in Israel in 2018, on 31 July 2024, for total consideration with a fair value of $55.7 million, of which $39.3 million was cash. AutoDS aggregates over 150 million products and serves tens of thousands of paying subscribers. Fiverr's largest acquisition of an Israeli business to date.

The record of Lev Echad ('One Heart'). Fiverr co-founded the initiative with the HR software firm HiBob, was among the companies that initially funded it, and the project is 'based at Fiverr's headquarters in central Tel Aviv'; monday.com built the AI platform behind it. It operated from more than 22 locations with more than 30,000 volunteers and an office in New York handling international donations, handling needs 'from transportation and accommodation to medical and food supplies' for civilians and military personnel, with residents of southern Israel among the primary recipients.
