Swiss-headquartered, London-listed miner and commodity trader, named by the UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory in June 2025 as one of two primary suppliers of the coal that generates Israel's electricity. Glencore's Colombian cargoes stopped after Colombia banned exports to Israel in 2024; South Africa's Richards Bay terminal, where Glencore markets the output of mines it runs with African Rainbow Minerals, became the dominant route. Glencore categorically rejects the report's allegations.
